Weybridge data recovery. A model tree that took four months to build, on one workstation and a portable drive.
There is both an engineering history and a contemporary engineering presence in Weybridge on the same land. Aircraft manufacturing at Brooklands ceased in the late 1980s. Brooklands Museum, on its thirty-acre site since 1987, keeps conservation records, scanned drawings and high-resolution photographic images of objects that will never be photographed twice. Head office functions located on the business park provide consolidation models, board packs and payroll. Family offices, private client advisers and home-based directors based on and surrounding St George's Hill (964 acres developed from 1911 with an absolute minimum plot size of one acre) hold investment, trust and personal archives on a single machine, alongside the builders and interior designers serving this estate, whose deliverables are a set of design files on one designer's Mac. Is a Brooklands address KT13 or something else?
Brooklands extends across the boundary between Weybridge and Byfleet, so addresses in those areas may appear as KT13 either way, depending upon how they are referenced. Also, KT13 covers multiple authorities; it includes Oatlands, St George's Hill and Hamm Court, as well as crossing into Runnymede, so making assumptions regarding Elmbridge Borough Council will be incorrect some of the time. Prices do not vary based upon location. Each location references pricing information from a single document.
How long does a KT13 job take?
Get a quote first, by phone or with our form. Then post it on any working day and it will usually be with an engineer by the next morning. We then provide the written quotation shortly afterwards. Once you say yes, most file-system recoveries are completed in a couple of working days. Mechanical faults take longer as we need to source and match a donor before opening the disk at all. You are told whether your disk has a mechanical fault or not from the very start of the process.
What documentation comes back with the drive?
One figure, written one time and not revised. When we read off what is on your disk we provide an itemised list for your approval. In most cases, you only pay if we recover your data. You will receive a VAT invoice afterwards. If a disk needs to be opened, the written quote will state this and that half of the fee falls due prior to commencement of the work required to open the disk.
Anywhere near Weybridge to hand it in?
We do not have a public counter in London or Weybridge, but you can get a quote first, either over the phone or using the form on our web site. You can then post it to our Guildford intake lab, tracked and insured and sent from a KT13 post office counter, or drop it off there yourself, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (no appointment needed). Posted media is generally opened at our Guildford intake lab the next working morning after receipt. No charge will be made to examine it and we cover its return journey.
