Ford last built a car at its Dagenham plant in 2002, and for some reason outsiders still get that wrong all the time. What is now located on those 450 acres is an engine factory: the Dagenham Diesel Centre produces close to half a million engines each year using around 2,000 people, and the companies supplying this factory keep inspection results, tolerance data and quality control records which could be requested by someone many years later. A short distance away is Eastbrook Studios on Yew Tree Avenue, which is open and accepting productions: twelve purpose-built sound stages within a 567,358 sq ft campus which spans 21.5 acres, with drives moving between the stages and post-production carrying a day's worth of material that cannot be staged twice. And then there is everything else. In the River Road employment area, Industria's forty-five units were completed in September 2023; hauliers and warehousing companies line the A13; and behind them are the fabricators, food firms and portacabin offices where a whole business record sits on one machine, simply because nobody was ever given the job of copying it. Let us know about it at the booking stage rather than afterwards, and if you do tell us, it will be marked urgent then. Your drive is imaged the day the package arrives with us, before the rest of the day's intake, and once we have sufficient diagnosis to base one on, we can give you a date for completion. The line is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm.
There is no other copy of the day's rushes. What happens to them?
We never write anything to the original. Before doing anything else we create an image that can be read only. All subsequent work is carried out using this image. When completed, your media is returned exactly as it arrived with us. Any successful recovery will be transferred onto new media, and you will receive a detailed report listing every file successfully recovered and those that were not, for you to review prior to making payment.
What paperwork comes back? The accounts department will want it.
All of the paperwork is provided at no additional cost. You are provided with the price in writing prior to any chargeable work being commenced. At the completion of each job you will be presented with an itemised account of the files recovered and asked to sign it off, and after signing it off, you will also receive a VAT invoice. Each job is assigned its own unique case reference, which is what it is tracked and discussed under from beginning to end.
Does Barking Riverside count, or is it town-centre addresses only?
Yes, both, and they share the same terms: RM8, RM9, RM10 and IG11 alike, including Becontree, Creekmouth, Thames View, Chadwell Heath and the riverside. RM10 is the one district lying wholly within the borough. It should be noted that while IG11 uses the Barking post town, it does extend into Beckton and Loxford, so a Barking address is not always located in the Borough of Barking and Dagenham. As we don't collect any items from you, this has no bearing on the price paid for the service.
