Today, rather than waiting for next week. A set that is running one disk short will behave as though all disks were good. This means files will still open and people won't know anything is wrong, so it is left alone until the next disk stops too and the volume halts on the spot. At this point do not begin the rebuild procedure, whatever your controller says. Cut the power to the unit and obtain a quote first, either over the telephone or via the quote form. Label each drive with the corresponding bay location, keep the drive that failed first with the rest, and post them to us without the chassis, or bring the drives to our Guildford intake lab, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (no appointment needed). Please note we consider this a multi-disk job, starting at £500 + VAT and upwards. SAN jobs and enterprise storage start at £1,250 + VAT.
Customs and airworthiness records are on it. Who sees those?
We work on a single engineer basis, and only one person works on your data recovery project, nobody after that. The paperwork carries a case number in place of your company's name once we receive your drive. Only those files necessary to complete your data recovery project will be opened during the process. None of these files go outside the lab where they are processed. If we keep any working copies of your data while working on your recovery project, all such copies are deleted thirty days after your drive is returned to you. We state this clearly in our Privacy Policy.
Is there a counter in Uxbridge to hand a drive across?
No, and there is no counter anywhere else in London either. All of our benches are located in one building, our Guildford intake lab. First, call us for a quote, or fill in the quote form. Once you've received a quote for your project, post us your drive tracked and insured from a post office counter in UB8 or HA4, and we'll usually have it on a bench by the next working day. Alternatively, you may also drop off your drive directly at our intake lab, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (no appointment needed). The examination of your drive is complimentary, and we pay for transportation back to you.
