Generally. Remove the mains power cord from the recorder, remove the disk, obtain a quote first via phone call or using the form provided, and send just the disk to us individually or deliver it to our Guildford intake laboratory, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm (appointment not required), since the recorder's case is bulky and adds nothing. Inform us which make of recorder it was removed from, because each manufacturer uses their own file system and an engineer will need to know who made it. If footage has been overwritten, it cannot be guaranteed to be returned to you. But what can be assured is that you will receive a complimentary examination and a written figure prior to billing you.
Ours is a portacabin office with one PC. Do you take that?
Regularly. When calling, ask that we mark it as "urgent" and we will treat it as such from the outset: we open your parcel as soon as it arrives, place it on an imager and begin processing it before the rest of the items arriving that day. Any records that may be requested by inspectors are a compliance matter before they are a computer one, therefore we work under these guidelines. On completion of the imaging process we will contact you once sufficient information has been obtained to provide a realistic completion date, which we will adhere to.
