Very often, yes, you will have access to your data again. Simply pull the power cord. Do not let the hard drive try again. First obtain a quote either by calling or using the quote form. Then post your hard drive separately from the rest of the till, or bring it into our Guildford intake laboratory, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm. No appointment necessary. Tell us which application wrote to it, as the layout is the maker's own. A single hard drive recovery costs £300 + VAT. That cost will be provided to you in writing prior to performing any chargeable steps.
Is Theydon Bois or North Weald treated differently?
No. The CM16 area is one of the tidiest postcode districts in this part of the country, as there is only a single post town and a single council here. Therefore all three places (Epping, Theydon Bois and North Weald) are treated identically. Since we do not fetch any items from addresses, sending your item from wherever you like does not affect the pricing or the point at which work on your job starts.
What actually comes back at the end of the job?
The original media is returned to you exactly as received. This is because imaging is read-only and every effort made to recover your lost data runs against the image, so it cannot harm your original media. Your recovered files are placed on new media, along with a detailed list of each file name so you may verify them before making payment. In addition, you will receive a VAT invoice. If your hard drive must be physically opened, half of the fee falls due at the point of opening, as specified within the initial quote and not added after completion.
The practice is stopped. How quickly can this move?
Tell us about the project at the time of booking. Do not inform us later. Provide a specific date to complete a project, and that project will be worked to that date. Your media will go onto an imager the day it arrives rather than being processed in turn. Upon completion of an accurate diagnosis allowing for a truthful response regarding how long until you can expect to receive the finished product, a completion date will follow rather than a guess at completing your project.
